STRATFORD, CT  – APRIL 21, 2016 – Jon Angel, President of Southport-based Angel Commercial, L.L.C., announces the sale of the remaining land owned by the U.S. Baird Corporation to Two Roads Brewing Company L.L.C. for the full asking price of $550,000.

“The acquisition of the adjacent 2.58 acres of land gives Two Roads Brewing Company the ability to expand and strengthens their presence in Stratford, CT,” states Angel, who represented both the buyer and seller in this transaction.

In 2012, Two Roads Brewing Company purchased the site of the former U.S. Baird Corporation headquarters at 1700 Stratford Avenue for $2,850,000.00. “When we saw the proud old U.S. Baird Building, we saw a beautiful symbol of America’s past manufacturing might, and the opportunity to revitalize a great piece of history! Not to mention an ideal building for a brewery,” states Brad Hittle, one of the founders. “Two Roads Brewery has everything from a large tasting room to enjoy our beers, to enough space for events and private parties.” After extensive renovations, Two Roads Brewing Company opened in December 2012 in the former factory.  They are makers of craft beer including an IPA, “Honeyspot Road,” named after the road that ends at the intersection of Stratford Avenue where Two Roads Brewing is located.  “It is great to have helped Two Roads Brewing Company make Stratford, CT, their home,” explains Angel. “Their brewery tours and tasting room attract tourists, which is beneficial to Stratford’s economy.”

Angel Commercial, L.L.C. is a full-service real estate brokerage firm headquartered in Fairfield County, Connecticut. The company specializes in the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of office, industrial, multifamily and retail properties on a local and national level.
