MILFORD, CT – July 7, 2010 – Jon Angel, President of Angel Commercial L.L.C., a Fairfield-based commercial real estate brokerage firm, announced today that ProBatter Sports has signed a long-term lease for 5,500 square feet of flex space at 49 Research Drive in Milford, Connecticut.  ProBatter Sports, the inventor and world leader in video pitching simulators for baseball, softball, and cricket, will be moving their headquarters to this location from 15 Old Gate Lane in Milford, Connecticut.

ProBatter Sports’ simulators are used at all levels for baseball, softball, and cricket worldwide.  Their customers include major league baseball teams and players, as well as major college baseball and softball programs.  “ProBatter Sports was created to provide a better way to teach and practice hitting,” explains Greg Battersby, ProBatter Sports’ founder and patent attorney.  The ProBatter product line has substantially expanded since its inception in 1999 with products such as the ProBatter II retrofit kit for commercial batting cages, ProBatter Professional Softball system, ProBatter Cricket machine, and a host of ancillary products.

“With both ample office and warehouse space, the location provides a more efficient layout for their planned use,” notes Angel, who represented both the tenant and landlord in this transaction.  ProBatter Sports will join other tenants, including the Data Signal Corporation and Cross-Fit Milford.  In January 2010, Cross-Fit Milford leased 6,000 square feet at this location in a transaction in which Angel represented the landlord.  “Situated less than one mile from Exit 40 off I-95, this property is ideal for many businesses and Milford’s affordable lease rates are attractive to companies looking to lower their occupancy costs,” states Angel.  “There is 5,500 square feet that remain available in this 23,000 square foot multi-tenanted building.”
