STRATFORD, CT  – JUNE 27, 2016 – After 66 years of operating as a successful appliance store in Stratford, Connecticut, Mudrick’s TV and Appliances has closed its doors.  Founded in August 1949, John Mudrick opened the 21,169 square foot retail store at 1480 Barnum Avenue.  His son, Jack Mudrick, took over the store in the late 1960s after serving three years in the military. Always family-run, the business employed as many as 20 people, including Jack’s children, Johnny, Dawn, and Amy.

“We have worked long and hard for over six decades serving customers in Stratford with low prices on appliances and top-notch customer service,” explains Jack Mudrick, who is looking forward to retirement.  “It is time to put down the phone and pick up the fishing reel.”

Mudrick’s TV and Appliances was an authorized dealer of popular brands including Amana, Bosch, Frigidaire, GE Appliances, and KitchenAid.
