Approved Residential Development Opportunity in Fairfield Center on the Market for $10.5 Million
FAIRFIELD, CT – JULY 12, 2018 – Southport-based Angel Commercial, LLC, has been retained to market for sale an approved 58 unit residential condo development at 185 Thorpe Street in Fairfield, CT, for $10.5 million. Previously used for industrial equipment sales, it is most known by residents as the former Fairfield Lumber site.
The property consists of 6.7 acres in Fairfield Center, located off the Post Road (Route 1) at a five-way signalized intersection. The level property is ideally located next to Rugby Park on a quiet cul-de-sac, and within walking distance to Starbucks, the Fairfield train station, restaurants, banks, schools, and retail stores.
“The site should be ready for construction in September,” states Jon Angel, President of Angel Commercial, LLC. “This is a unique residential development opportunity due to its proximity to the Fairfield Metro-North Train Station, Fairfield Center, and the beach,” said Jon Angel, president of Angel Commercial, LLC.
Working in a joint partnership with the property owner, Scinto Thorpe LLC was responsible for creating the development plans and obtaining approvals from the town. A stipulation of the approval is that six of the 58 units will be available for affordable housing.
